Playing Video Games Top Pandemic Escapes

We all need an escape from the pandemic and real life. A new study looked how people trying to fill their time.

Most (65%) struggle to stick with a hobby during quarantine so they find other ways to fill their time. Video games, binging TV, book reading, and crossword puzzles are the top things they do.

71% in the survey started video gaming more since the pandemic started. It’s bringing the family together more too. 62% say it’s brought them closer with their children. They’ve also reported connecting more with their siblings and 30% have played with old college friends.

Here are the top 10 ways people are staying busy during quarantine:

  2. Binge-watched a TV series (64%)
  3. Read a book (63%)
  4. Completed crosswords (61%)
  5. Finished a puzzle (59%)
  6. Learned a new hobby (55%)
  7. Played a board game (52%)
  8. Purchased an adult coloring book (49%)
  9. Completed a DIY project (45%)
  10. Listened to podcasts (38%)
