The 2024 Illinois State Fair has once again brought together an array of culinary creations, and the people have spoken! This year’s Golden Abe’s Fantastic Fair Food Contest saw fierce competition, but one dish stood out among the rest. The Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich from Heaterz has been crowned the People’s Choice winner.
The Golden Abe’s Fantastic Fair Food Contest is a highlight of the Illinois State Fair, and Neuhoff Media and the Illinois Beef Association were proud to sponsor this fun event celebrating the creativity and culinary skills of vendors from all over the state. This year, the competition was particularly tough, with many mouth-watering entries vying for the top spot. However, the Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich from Heaterz captured the hearts and taste buds of fair attendees, earning the coveted People’s Choice award with the most votes online.
