In a heartwarming display of community support, over $31,000 was raised during this morning’s annual radiothon for St. Patrick Catholic School, broadcasted live on Sports Radio 92.3 FM/1450 AM. The event, hosted by AM Springfield’s Sam Madonia and Greg Halbleib, took place from 6 AM to 9 AM, live from the school.
Listeners showed their generosity by calling in or delivering their donations in person during the broadcast. This radiothon is a yearly tradition for AM Springfield, aimed at supporting St. Patrick Catholic School, a small institution that relies heavily on donations and fundraising efforts to continue its operations. The school serves many underprivileged families, asking them to contribute what they can, while community donations cover the remaining costs.
“This school is a gem,” said Madonia. “It is a bright light on Springfield’s east side and one we will always support.”
The mission of St. Patrick Catholic School is to be an affordable school of choice with high academic and character standards.
